Bike shown in picture above, is a Suzuki GSX-R Nitro-Gas powered Superbike speeding towards the finish line of the Santa Pod, UK quarter mile strip on Sunday 16th July 2006. Info: Nitro Gas has nothing to do with gasoline/petrol. To use gasoline/petrol in these types of bikes such as the Suzuki Nitro Gas Superbike would create no ends of problems. Nitro Gas is made up of three custom blended components. 1. Nitromethane: Commonly referred to simply as Nitro. Nitromethane is an extremely flammable liquid which is derive from propane. It is more or less a super charger with extra oxygen. 2. Methanol is a derivation from distilled wood products and is referred to as wood alcohol. Methanol is seen as the primary fuel component of Nitro Fuels. 3. Oil: Castor oil is a natural unique lubricant. The breaking down of Castor oil is one of its greatest strength. What this mean, is: It's lubricating properties increase with high temperature forming a residue like film that protects the bike's engine. |
