The production of big capacity Superbikes by Honda and Kawasaki motorcycle manufacturers was closely observed by Suzuki and even Yamaha took a peeping look also. In developing the Superbike concept Suzuki was alone in presenting a two-stroke as well as four-stroke motorbike machine. The advent of Suzuki GT750 a motorcycle powered by a water-cooled three cylinder two-stroke engine set across the frame. The Suzuki GT750 could be classed as a well mannered and very quiet bike, but with highly impressive acceleration which produced a maximum speed of about 115mph. The Suzuki's four-stroke motorbike to come on the scene was the Suzuki GS750. The GS750 Motorcycle was introduced by Suzuki in 1976.
