The first 4-stroke petrol engine motorcycle was produced in 1885 by German inventor Gottlied Daimler. 1902 the British Triumph Motorcycle came into being. 1903 Harley Davidson Motor Company of America was launched by William Harley along with brothers Arthur and Walter Davidson, hence the name Harley-Davidson. During the 1950's British and American motorcycles was the big business.
