The Ducati Vtwin GT1000 is powered by the latest version of Ducati's 992cc, air-cooled, dual-spark Vtwin, similar L-shaped cooling fins as the 1971 Vtwin version but with the latest Testastretta Ducati typed cylinder head design and Magnetic Marelli 5AM fuel-injection engine. The Ducati GT1000 has 43 mm Marzocchi upside-down front forks, as per the Sport 1000, the rear suspension is authentic 1970s design and styling; dual Sach rear aluminium shocks, top collars, black springs and bright zinc-coated shock bodies.
