This particular 1974 Ducati 750cc Super Sport machine shown, was from an original batch of 200 Ducati 750cc Super Sport motorcycles made by Ducati race shop as a Replica of the Ducati 750cc racing bike which won the Imola 200 Race in 1972 ridden by top celebrated British motorcycle race rider, Paul Smart. Engine specs of the 1974 Ducati 750cc Super Sport replica consists of a 748cc Desmo Valve Gear comprising of a maximum 9,200rpm that produced a top speed of 140mph. This Ducati 750cc Bike raced in the Isle of Man Manx GP Senior 6 laps, 226 miles and finish the race. This is the only Ducati motorbike to do this feat despite being the oldest motorcycle machine in that race! Finished 3rd at Donning Park in one of the first Battle of the Twin Races. The Ducati 750 Supersports motorbike in the early 1990's raced in the Production Classes but has since retired to the occasional parade events. Owned by Simon Morris. |
