The 1972 Ducati 350 Short Stroke Motorcycle is another of the Simon Morris collection of classic Ducati motorbikes. This Ducati 350 Short Stroke machine was built from a standard 450 Ducati motor bike machine with a 450cc which was shortened to reducing the stroke which enable the Ducati 350 Short Stroke bike to have more rpm. The Ducati engine builder Anthony Ainslie had to get a special con-rod and piston made for this project which delivers a maximum revs of 9.200 RPM. The end result of the Ducati 350 Short Stroke motorcycle was a top speed of 115mph Isle of Man Gearing. The Ducati 350 Custom built Short Stroke bike is
quite an achiever, and without fail, always finishing in the top three placings at CMRC
race events which also includes two first place. Now a days this Ducati 350 Short Stroke is taking it easy with just two race meetings per year and each time managed to finished in the top 8 each time! |
